Journal#11.Write about a favorite memory from your childhood.

I honestly am afraid of water! When i was a child, 5 or 6 years old, I and my dad went to the lake, he was trying to help me to learn to swim. My dad loves water and he learned to swim when he was a child. It was a summer, beautiful day, I and my dad walked to the lake, I remember i took with me an air mattress. By the time we got there he had explained to me how he going to teach me to swim. He told me don't worry, just come with me in the water and you will see how it's easy to swim. So i told him i would like to lie in the mattress first and give me a little bit time to get used water. So by the time i was enjoying my mattress my dad took his time for swimming. i remember i was enjoying the hot summer day,i was lying on the mattress and didn't have a clue my dad was going to scare me.I was not far from the shore when my dad swam from under me and pushed me off from my mattress, and i started to sink under the water. But after seconds i felt some one pull my hair and it was my dad trying to find me under the water. since that day i'm still afraid to swim in open water.

journal#10.Describe a "perfect weather" day. What would you do on a day like this?

I like a sunny, worm weather. I can't stand cold, rain, windy weather. When is sunny and worm i would like to go park, take my little girl and just go have a good time. i like to drive sometimes when is a sunny day. well you can do a last off things but some of my days i would like to take a rest from every thing. i don't ride a bicycle but i can just walk or sat down and have a good time. Well i don't do this very often, my work takes to much time and school to, but i would like sometimes go enjoy a beautiful day.

Someone who is close to me.

My mother, she is the one person close to me, even though she lives to far a way. She is the one who always likes to help me, talk to me when I feel blue, sometimes we just talk like girlfriends. I remember when I was a little girl I didn't listen to her, but now that I am grown up I remember her advise.
When I came to the United States I wasn't alone, I keep her in my mind all the time because I remember every thing she tough me about life. I was to young to understand her but she told me someday "you will remember my words." Well, what I can say about myself, life makes changes so then I became single but not lonely because god gave me a daughter. For now I'm a single parent but without my child I don't know what I would do. She is the only person why I'm here, sitting in the class and trying to explain about a person close to me.
Right now I'm studding, working full time and taking care of my child, I'm tired but I would like to reach this goal, because life is short, and I want to give to my child the best care I can.
I understand single moms, who are really trying to take good care of their kids, working over time, just to make sure their kids grow up with good care.
