What three things I would bring with me to a deserted Island.

This is a difficult question to answer without knowing more. If this would be an imaginary answer three things would be a movie star, a genie in a bottle to grant wishes for anything I wanted, like shelter, friends, music, etc, and a luxury yacht so I could leave the Island at any time. More realistically though I would have to say I would bring some kind of renewable foods, such as seeds, fishing/hunting gear so I would never go hungry. I would take this stuff because I do not know what is available on the Island for nourishment. As well as some way to filter water. Not knowing what the Island has for fresh water, if any, I would need some way to filter salt water, or even dirty freshwater. I would also take some kind of communication, like a satellite phone, or radio, to talk to others and stay in touch with my family. This would also be helpful for if I ever wanted to leave the Island, or ran out of some supplies that I need to live. Then the third thing would be lots of matches or lighters, to start the fires with. Even though I would hope it would be a tropical Island, and would not need the fire for heat, I would still need fire to cook with. Fire would also be good in case I was trying to get off of the Island. The fire could be used as a signal to passing airplanes or boats. I think with those things I could live on a deserted Island for a long time, even if I didn’t want to. But if I wanted to stay, I would probably get very lonely and miss my family very much and would want to leave it anyway.

Very creative! I was thinking of writing on this subject, but I don't know now. I don't think I can top the jeanie in the bottle. Very nice. I enjoyed reading. I might just join you on that deserted island!
